Description: As a pharmacist and university lecturer, I am routinely contacted by psychologists who are interested in knowing more about how CNS medicines work, or they seek some form of pharmacological understanding in order to know more about their patient’s biological wellbeing (based on their patient’s prescribed and/or over-the-counter medicines). This in a professional training workshop, looking at different CNS drug groups in terms of their classification, mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, side effects, interactions and contraindications.
