Schema Therapy Training Course Part 1
February 11, 2025Alexithymia is the inability to recognise or describe one's own emotions. It has been implicated in Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and has implications for treatment. By doing this mini course, psychology professionals will will learn about the state of the science on alexithymia, the functional deficits and neural correlates associated with it, and find out about a potential, brief (three-week), effective psychotherapeutic treatment.
